Form, light and shadow are the quintessential elements of a space that deepen our perception of its boundaries.The memories of certain elements from architecture linger with us, and leave a lasting impression on our minds.
We at Material Immaterial studio intend to liven up those memories and have conceived these micro concrete pieces that we fondly call ELEMENTS to celebrate spatial memories forged in time.
Each piece of the Elements collection is an individually complete form defined by play of light and shadow. The Elements collection is conceived as a set of cuff-links and can be a part of you in your most formal gatherings. These would make great conversation starters and will evoke many a fond memories and intrigue ones imagination.
Care instructions:MIM studio uses a high density, high performance custom concrete mix which is resistant to weathering.As concrete is a composite material, each piece will be slightly different in terms of color and texture and pores. Over time concrete products will undergo slight efflorescence . This natural occurrence can be mitigated by frequent use. Furthermore in time concrete items will become darker as they interact with moisture and air. The cufflink connector is made from Sterling Silver.
Avoid storing the products in humid or wet environments since water will penetrate the pores of the concrete and weaken its structural integrity. Although we use dense mix concrete, chipping is possible when the product makes contact with certain hard surfaces. To avoid chipping please handle the product with care and place them on soft surfaces. Our Concrete items do not require any special maintenance. If dry dusting use clean fiber cloth. Silver items gets oxidized after a period of time, necessary care to be taken.
